Create a purchase button in Carrd

In this article we'll show you how to use Carrd's button element to create a Foxy purchase option.

Carrd's button element can act as a Foxy purchase button. You add Foxy's loader snippet to a hidden embed element, then point the button at a Foxy purchase link.

Add the Foxy loader snippet

The loader snippet displays the sidecart when a customer adds a product to cart, and stores customer sessions. It needs to be present on the page.

    Go to the Foxy admin

    Go to Settings > Website & Products

  3. 3

    Copy the snippet from the Foxy loader.js section

  4. 4

    In Carrd, click the Add an element icon

  5. 5

    From the elements menu, choose Embed

  6. 6

    In the Embed panel, set Style to Hidden

  7. 7

    Paste the snippet into the Code field

  8. 8

    Click Done

Notes

  • Set your product's parameters in the Link & Form Builder rather than editing the URL afterwards. See Standard parameters for what's available.

  • If your store has HMAC product validation enabled, the builder signs your links automatically, and editing any parameter in the URL afterwards breaks the signature. Rebuild the link in the builder instead of hand-editing it in Carrd.

  • Carrd's hidden embed only applies to the page you added it to. Add it to every page with a purchase button.

  • Republish after any change. Carrd edits don't go live until you publish.
